Some critics feel like bourbon is bourbon and the way to really differentiate your bourbon from the next is to do barrel finishes. Therefore, many distillers are taking their bourbon and finishing it in port, sherry, cabernet, etc. barrels. Angel’s Envy has been a standard in the category - though they definitely were not the first. We’ll taste the Angel’s Envy next to many of the newer distilleries that are also finishing in port casks.

These are all fantastic whiskeys and conduct their aging and finishing in different ways which we will talk about at the tasting. The resulting spirits each have their own character. It will largely depend on what your palate likes to see which one you appreciate best.

Each ticket purchase will get you a 3/4oz pour of each of the whiskeys, some snacks that will be paired with that port finish, and 15% off the whiskeys being tasted that night.

We will be providing proper spacing for this event. Each attendee will be provided with a glencairn for tasting and a representative from our liquor company or from K Point/The Coffee Grounds will come to your table to pour your whiskey.
