On March 4th we will welcome Ed Rodriguez to the store who represents Bardstown Bourbon Company and we will be sampling through their Fusion and Discovery bourbons.

For the launch of the brand in Wisconsin, Bardstown Bourbon Company came to the store and sampled through the Fusion, Discovery and Phfer Pavitt Reserve whiskeys with us. They were quite delicious and we are excited to share them with you. See descriptions of the whiskeys below:

Fusion:

40% of the bottle is sourced 13yo Kentucky Whiskey with a mashbill of 74% corn, 18% rye, and 8% malted barley. While they can’t legally disclose the name of the distillery they got this from, the mashbill can be searched to find that this is a Barton distillate (same company that makes 1792). The rest of the bottle is Bardstown’s own spirit of varying ages and mashbills and 3 - 4yrs old.

We’ll have tasting notes and all the information we can muster on these whiskeys for you at the tasting. And I’m sure Ed will be happy to tell us about the company and how else they are innovating and doing whiskey in a way that hasn’t been done before.
