A wine rep of ours, Nikki, is a Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 3 teacher. Maybe you have seen this certification before as "WSET1" or "WSET2" and it is an alternative to becoming a Sommelier. 

The first level provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.

The class is three sessions, two hours each on July 8th, July 22nd and August 5th at 6:30pm. 

The cost of the course is $350 and covers the instruction and all materials (book and wine tastings).

And while not necessary of course, you can take the WSET1 exam at the end and be certified! Nikki has a 100% pass rate on the test - so don't stress! (Or just come and learn and don't take the test if you really want to not stress!)
