Eric's Last Drop--Raul Perez El Papolao
WINE IS AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP ONLY.
La Vizcaína is a project from Raúl Pérez that explores the hillside crus around his hometown of Vatuille de Abajo. These two highly acclaimed and highly reviewed reds are both from single vineyard sites and from vines with over fifty years of average age (some much older).
Perez La Vizcaina El Rapolao
The El Rapolao vineyard is a widely renowned, higher-altitude, cooler-exposition vineyard whose 7 hectares are now farmed by over 30 owners. The vines were planted in the 1970s on red clay and alluvial stones. This wine, made from almost 100% Mencia, is then fermented with whole clusters in oak vats a with long post-fermentation maceration, and then cellared for one year in older 225L and 500L barrels.
