Eric's Last Drop--A Bordeaux Beauty
Eric's Last Drop--A Bordeaux Beauty
WINE IS AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP ONLY.
2016 Chateau de Pez St-Estèphe
Decanter 94 points, James Suckling 93, Wine Enthusiast 93 Points—you get the idea. It’s GOOD.
This one to me is a bargain alert—a GREAT QPR**. Yes, it is more than the average Last Drop, but at this price level, it is perhaps the most subtle and elegant of all the St.-Estèphe wines and hard to resist. They are usually a robust and hard wine, but this particular wine is elegant and sophisticated with fine, polished tannins and a long, rather delicate finish.
It offers up lovely aromatics of ripe black fruits edged with violet flowers and smoked cedar and a bouquet with hints of blackcurrant, cherry and licorice and mineral. Rich and complex, this wine maintains the balance between density and harmony, power and refinement and the precision of its tannins.
It will grace any table over the holidays and be sure to elevate your dinner or holiday party. So, drink it now or it will cellar nicely for 5-10 years.
We started with 12 bottles, but I wanted to try one so, there are now only 11 bottles available 😊. Normally $74.99 but the price drops to $59.65 per bottle when you purchase it on Eric’s Last Drop.
